Simonson Technique, created and developed by master teacher Lynn Simonson, is an organic approach to movement that prepares the body to dance in a way that is anatomically intelligent and somatically aware. The goals of Simonson Technique training are to eliminate the pre-disposition to injury from previous mis-alignment patterns, develop and support the body in a way that allows efficient and free movement and to experience the joy of dance with longevity and wellness. A teacher of Simonson Technique recognizes that each student is unique. Rather than ask students to fit a pre-described ideal, they are guided and taught as to what is anatomically correct for their bodies. Hailed as an intelligent and logical method to prepare the body for dance, the Simonson Technique has received recognition throughout the world since 1970 and is taught by certified faculty in 20 countries worldwide. Beginners welcome!

Juicing & Detoxing Workshop

This workshop will give you a comprehensive foundation to recharge your body with the basics of juicing and detoxing. Navigate your way through the holidays mindfully and enter the New Year feeling great! Sample delicious juices and other super food goodies! Option to embark on a whole foods cleanse, with follow up classes Dec 9 &16, or be part of online cleansing forum.
Topics we will cover: Intro to Juicing and Detoxing, Common obstacles to vitality, How you fuel your human vehicle, Whole Foods Plant Based Nutrition, and Purifying Practices

Owner, Marilyn K. Miller
Marilyn Miller began dancing at the age of 5, and went on to dance professionally with Ballet West in Salt Lake City, Utah, Eugene Ballet in Eugene, OR, and Santa Clara Ballet in CA. She was introduced to Pilates at the Center for Dance Medicine in San Francisco, CA, while rehabilitating from injuries incurred as a Soloist Dancer with the San Francisco Opera.
Amazed at how much Pilates helped her recovery, she decided to make this her post-dance career. After back injuries forced her to retire, Marilyn became a Stott Pilates Certified Instructor and an American Council on Exercise Personal Trainer. Marilyn brings a lifetime of experience to each lesson she teaches. She has done specialty trainings in numerous modalities, including:

GYROKINESIS
In a GYROKINESIS® class you'll exercise both your body and mind fully using gentle and flowing movements combined with coordinated breathing patterns. When you're finished you'll likely feel relaxed and possibly as if you've been on a journey of discovery about your mind and body.
GYROKINESIS® exercises work the entire body through seven natural elements of spinal movement: forward, backward, left side, right side, left spiral, right spiral and circular. This approach systematically and gently works the joints and muscles through rhythmic and undulating movements. These movements stimulate the body's internal organs while different corresponding breathing patterns are integrated along with the movements. It is performed sitting on a stool, on the floor and standing.
GYROKINESIS® simultaneously stretches and strengthens muscles and tendons while mobilizing and articulating the joints. The entire circulatory system is stimulated through breathing techniques paired with undulating circular and spiraling movements The system can dramatically increase range of motion, flexibility and coordination.
GYROKINESIS® is beneficial for people from all walks of life, age groups and heath. It can be used for rehabilitative purposes, preventive, general exercise, and improving performance of other activities, including, dance, golf, tennis and others. Any body of any age can do GYROTONIC®, because it is gentle on the joints and can be adjusted to any fitness level.
