How do I Begin?
For Private Pilates Lessons...
Initial Evaluation and Lesson, followed by the Introductory Package of 3 private lessons
Especially if you have had an injury or are coming to us from physical therapy or doctor's recommendation, we recommend you begin with this option.

Session Includes:
  •         postural analysis
  •         health history review
  •         core strength tests
  •         peripheral muscle strength tests
  •         check for diastasis recti (prominent following pregnancy)
  •         review Pilates fundamentals, including breathing and pelvic floor engagement
  •         45 minute long introductory workout on the Pilates equipment.
  •         customized workout program for you, to be done either here in a private or group setting, or at home.
  •         three private lessons building on your particular physical needs

For Group Equipment Classes...
You must have previous experience doing private pilates equipment lessons/classes, a minimum of three private lessons on the equipment with us, or participation in our Intro classes.  If you have prior ballet or yoga experience we may wave this requirement - please consult the studio directly to discuss your situation.

What do I Wear?
To truly assess your posture and make sure you are doing exercises correctly, we need to see your hips, your shoulders, your rib-cage, knees and ankles/feet.  Therefore, please wear clothing that is comfortable to move in, lightweight (the studio is NEVER cold), and CLOSE FITTING so we can see your alignment.  This is necessary so we can develop a comprehensive program specific to your needs.

Women:  Yoga pants/top
Men:  bike shorts or mid-thigh boxer-briefs with shorts/workout pants over, and close fitting t-shirt recommended.

We reserve the right to refuse service to clients who are inappropriately dressed or dressed in a manner that is distracting to the other clientele.

That was 4 years ago and despite having recovered FULLY, I have become more fit and can honestly say I am in the best shape I have ever been in." Anne C.

"My brain is SO involved in this - Marilyn's training is both CEREBRAL and VISCERAL" - A. King
